Creating your Store and adding Items
It is very simple to create a Store and add Items to your Yoobos store. This section will guide through the process. If you have any questions or queries please let us know and we will do our best to answer them for you.
1. Login to your account
Login to your account using your registered email address and password.
2. Select the option to Create new store
After you have logged in, select the 'Create new Store' option. This option is in the menu under the 'My stores' option
3. Fill in the details for your new Store
Enter the details in the form, paying attention to the compulsory fields
When creating the store you need to fill in the following sections:
- Upload a logo image for your store, this will appear in the store listing page, it needs to be a jpeg or gif file
- Regions you wish to sell to, selecting these will give you the opportunity to set the postage to selected regions within the item creation page in the next stage.
- Payment methods, specify how you wish to receive payment. If the payment method you require is not listing, you can specify it in the other section, e.g. postal order.
- Payment details, here you can make a general statement about your payment policy, e.g. "will only deliver goods once cheques cleared"
- Default currency, this is the currency which all of your items will be priced at. Note that if you have chosen PayPal then this will be used as your PayPal currency. Also note that PayPal only supports a limited number of currencies.
- Other currencies, to select multiple currencies you need to hold down the CTRL button and select up to 4 currencies. This will indicate currencies you will accept for payment as well as your default currency. Where applicable the currency conversions of the "Default currency" to the "Other currencies" will be shown against each item.
- Create store page summary, you need to add at least one item before you can purchase the store. Note that as you add items to the store, the price band indicator will update.
When all sections are complete, select the Submit option. If the entered details are validated successfully you will be presented with a summary of your store details. You can edit the content of the store here, so take some time and describe your store in full detail.
4. Add Items to your Store
Your Store is not complete until you have added some Items to it. To do this select the 'Add an Item' option. You will then be presented with a form into which you can now enter the information about the item.
Note that you have a fully featured Editor so you can format the description to improve the appearance and readability.
When adding an Item to your Store you need to fill in the following sections:
- The Price, this will be in the default currency of your Store.
- Quantity Available, this is the initial quantity available.
- Offers Considered, this allows Buyers to make an offer which may be less than the asking price.
- The Postage details, this is the cost you want to charge for Post and Packing.
- There is also a discount section where if you have multiple items you can offer a discount for bulk purchases.
- There is also the section for offering free gifts, you can enter a statement describing this.
Note that after Items have been added to your Store you still have the option to Edit, Preview and Delete them
5. Submit Store
When you have added the Items to your Store you can select the Submit option, there are two types of Store you can create: a basic store or an enhanced store.
The Basic Store locates your Store and Items in the category listings of the Yoobos site as normal.
The Enhanced Store is also located in the category listings of the Yoobos site, but it also has a direct web address - in the form of www.yoobos.com/MyStore. The store name MyStore must only contain alpha numeric characters. This allows you to give your customers a direct link to your store so they won't have to search to find you. It also means your customers won't see any competing Stores!
6. Adding Items to your Store at a later date
You can also add items from your store listing page, select the Add items option
