1. Why use yoobos?

Here at yoobos we aim to provide an easy to use and cost-effective solution to selling online. Here are a few reasons to use yoobos:

  • If any of your items in your store aren't selling you can swap them for FREE at any time during the rental period.
  • Our store prices are very competitive.
  • There are no hidden costs. We don't charge you for commission on items sold. All you pay for is the rental of the store.
  • Our multiple basket functionality, which allows a buyer to purchase from more than one store at once, encourages buyers to buy multiple items.

Contacting a seller

If you wish to contact a seller regarding their item for sale you can do this via the Ask seller a question service. To do this go to the item page and click on "ask seller a question" (you must be logged in to do this), then detail your enquiry in the text box and press submit. You will be notified via email when the seller answers your question.

If you have already purchased from a seller and wish to contact them please use the contact details given in the order confirmation email.

Contacting a buyer

The contact details of the buyer will be emailed to you in the order confirmation email. You will also be able to get this information by clicking on the item that they purchased from you in sold items from within the "my account" tab and "my storees".

You can keep track of the items you have purchased using "my account". To view this login to the site, click on the "my account" tab and click on Items bought/offers made. You are able to view the full item details for a limited time after the product has been purchased by clicking on the item image or name from the list on this page.

store fees

At yoobos we keep our fees simple and competitive. You pay only for the store rental and we charge no commission on sold items. The fees are based upon the number of items you have in your store.

Our store fees are as follows:

        10                              £3.75

        20                              £7.00

        30                              £10.00

So if for example you wish to sell 5 items this will cost £3.75. If you wish to sell 26 items this would cost £7.00. You are able to swap out unsold items for new items free of charge. If you wish to sell more than 30 items you will need to create multiple storees.

SMS service fees

SMS is an optional service allowing you to send and receive updates by text. This can be used to notify a user if you have accepted or rejected their offer or you can be notified if someone has purchased one of your products. If you wish to use this service you will need to sign up for an SMS account on yoobos.

Our SMS fees are as follows:

Payment terms

Fees for storees or texting must be paid in advance online using a valid credit/debit card.

Commission

At yoobos we do not charge commission on any items sold. This means you can sell at whatever price you want and we will not charge you a penny more.

There are two main ways of finding an item - browsing or searching. To search for an item enter the keywords you wish to search for in the search field at the top of the left hand column. you have three options for your search - all listings (will display both items and storees that match your search criteria), items (will display individual items), storees (will display storees that match your search). If you already within a category you will have the option to select "within this category" which will only search within the current category. This helps you refine your results quickly. You also have the option to only search for offer items.

When browsing you can choose between browsing storees (collection of products for sale by one seller) or items. Within these two categories you are also able to browse by category and by location. Once within a category of items you are also able to further refine your results by selecting a sub-category at the top of the page.

Feedback is made up of comments and ratings left by other yoobos members who you have had transactions with. These comments and ratings are valuable indicators of your reputation as a buyer or seller on yoobos. They are included, along with an overall feedback score, in your "my feedback" page.

To view your feedback ...

  1. Login to the site.
  2. Click on the "my account" tab.
  3. Click on the "my feedback" link.

Feedback points

The feedback points you receive for transactions are as follows:

  • +1 point to your feedback score for each positive comment and rating left for you.
  • 0 points to your feedback score for each neutral comment and rating left for you.
  • -1 point to your feedback score for each negative comment and rating left for you.

A red asterisk will appear next to your username once you have 100 or more comments and ratings left for you.

For example, flipper 137 means that the yoobos member with the User ID "flipper" has received positive feedback from at least 137 other yoobos members.

When to check feedback ...

Before you buy an item, you can check the seller's feedback by clicking on the feedback score next to their User ID.

Feedback Tips ...

  • Always leave feedback after a transaction so that other members may benefit from your experience.
  • Usually a high feedback score and high positive feedback percentage is a good sign but we still recommend you check your seller/buyer's feedback profile.
  • Contact the seller/buyer to resolve any issues before leaving negative feedback.
  • You cannot remove feedback once you have left it so be sure to make only fair and factual comments and give ratings that relate to a specific transaction.

How do I leave feedback?

  1. Login to the site.
  2. Click on the "my account" tab.
  3. If you are the buyer click on Items bought/Offers made.
  4. If you are the seller click on "my storees" and then items sold.
  5. Next to the relevant item click on the link "leave feedback".
  6. This will take you to a form to leave your feedback.

7 days after a transaction has taken place you will also be emailed and reminded to leave feedback. The email will contain a link to the feedback page.

PayPal is the preferred way to pay for yoobos bought items. It is a system that lets anyone with an email address securely send and receive online payments using their credit card, debit card, or bank account.

PayPal for buyers ...

PayPal is a convenient method for paying for items on yoobos. If you don't already have a PayPal account, learn more about the benefits of paying with PayPal or sign up to PayPal now. Sending a typical payment with PayPal is free.

PayPal for sellers ...

PayPal is the fast, easy and secure way to receive payments for yoobos items. When you list your items with PayPal as a payment method your buyers can pay you quickly and securely online with a credit card, debit card or bank account. If you don't already have a PayPal account, learn more about the benefits of offering Paypal as a payment method or sign up to Paypal now.

For sellers, there is a small fee for each payment completed through PayPal. However, there are no setup fees, no monthly fees, and no minimum charge requirements.

We recommend that you accept all forms of PayPal payments including account balance, bank account transfer and credit cards if you offer PayPal as a payment option on your yoobos listings.
